SHA was established in July 1994 with the idea of supplying affordable infrared heating for people in area’s that are either impossible or difficult to achieve using conventional heating methods.

At that time Eskom (SA’s power generation utility) recognised infrared heating as an efficient method of heating people in large open areas.  To this end Eskom actively marketed the infrared heaters to industry, warehouses, and restaurants.

In 1999, Eskom changed its strategy and SHA had to do the same.  We then began marketing the heaters our selves.  This led to a dramatic increase in business resulting in SHA becoming the leading supplier of infrared heating for people in the work place in SA.

At the same time we began to develop infrared paint curing equipment specifically for the SA Automotive industry.  Here to we have also become the leading supplier of IR Paint Curing equipment in SA.
